Copper pots and pans
Would you believe we first made tools out of copper 11,000 years ago?
Copper offered the chance to form it into tools and pots while it was cold and in sheets, whereas iron had to be hot to be made into the shapes people wanted and needed to cook. Coppersmiths and tinsmiths did lots of forming and re-tinning in most big cities. Tinkers traveled to smaller cities and communities to repair copper cookware. Copper is combined with other metals now and can be expensive.
